Gas Pump Camera

I'd like to install a camera so I know when I'm lined up with the gas pump nozzle. Camera 2 port is open on my monitor and if it would work, I have a bunch of coax laying around that I could drop down at the front of my dog house and run it back for a clean install. I have places I could put a small camera and wouldn't need a day/night one. What options do I have?

That's a great idea. I have Tallulah walk behind the MH and count me down to where the hose will reach. My fill is in the driver side rear and there's not a lot of room for error at these gas pumps.

That's where my fill is too. The times I have filled, I would have to pull up, get out, check it, get back in, move up, etc, etc, etc... I wouldn't need much, just something small, like a lipstick camera.

Sadie just says: Do it yourself.

She also hopes Buddy is feeling better.

Line up the filler and pump, place red dot on your mirror at that point.

Just ordered one of these. Just have to figure out which pin is which on the monitor.
I downloaded the manual and it tells about the power leads, but not the camera leads.

Dunner: Not sure if that camera has a built in microphone but the yellow lead is usually picture and red is sound. At least it works that way with TV and VCR etc.

Hopefully, it comes with a schematic. I'm thinking the red is +12V and grd and the yellow is sound and video.

Red is going to be your 12v and the yellow is an RCA video connector. They should offer a cable that hooks it up. If not, let me know I have 3 extra cables (25' or 50' not sure) that are the extend cables from my security cams at the house I didn't need (prewired when we built). Pay the postage and they are yours. Video has a BNC on it, but Radio Shack sells an adapter plug to convert BNC to RCA. PM me your address and I will drop 2 of them in the mail (if it fits, it ships).

Looking further down on ebay, the yellow appears to be video and the red goes to the reverse light somehow.

I have a BNC to RCA female connector in my hand right now.

PM on the way.

Do you take Paypal? PM it to me.

The monitor in is a square black connector. Can't find a pin-out but will call Tim@RVCams.com tomorrow and email the seller asking about a schematic. Do I even need the back-up leads or just the video in from the camera

I got a red flag on a 5' fiberglass shaft the I place behind the licence plate on my '99 Pace Arrow 37S. When it hits the pump, I know I"m OK. Eddie Elk.

My fill door is about 2 feet behind the rear axle on the drivers side. I can see the door in my rear view mirror. So far I have been pretty lucky as on the 5 times or so I have filled the rig I have not had to move yet. Now the tank drains are about 6 feet behind the fuel and today I almost did not pull far enough ahead, but the hose did easily reach.
