Gasoline not plentiful In Triangle NC

It took a good hour this morning to find a station that had gas. The attendant told me they will run out that afternoon. Wow that broken pipeline in Alabama is having quite an impact. He added they will get more on Tuesday but only about 1/4 what they normally get.

So is anyone else impacted by this? Just wondering. I can not believe a gas pipeline has such impact. In telephony (which I work in) we have multiple lines and geographically dispersed, so a cut cable can be rerouted. Why this single point of failure.

Yes seeing an impact in East TN, prices jumped $0.20 in a day with reports of some stations out of gas. Luckily we had no plans for the weekend and had almost full tanks. No real plans this next week so we'll survive. I'd hate to be traveling this weekend.

This shows you what can happen. Considering there are literally hundreds of pipelines spread across the USA, a major problem like this can really upset the way we live.
