Getting new RV, but having issues with paint schemes
Just curious if anyone else has input on this.
We are looking to purchase a new RV before our annual Christmas roadtrip. We have the exact model/floorplan picked out, we are just waiting on it to arrive from the factory to the dealer.
Currently, the dealer has just received same floorplan we will be buying... but, I do not like the paint scheme colors. So, I'm trying to decide between risking not getting rig in time (waiting for colors I like) vs just getting this one a week ahead of schedule with colors that are "okay."
So - the question is - did you buy a rig that had yucky colors and just get used to it - turned into a non-issue? OR, did you regret that decision? wait and get the right color? etc.
I know - first world problem - right?

I'd definitely wait and get exactly what I want. That's a big-ticket item to settle for something you don't really like.

Frankly, I wouldn't be planning on taking a brand new rig anywhere until after a shakedown trip to see what doesn't work.

If you are questioning the decision, don’t make it.

I agree with both SarahW and V3600, but only because you used the word "yucky". Otherwise I'd suggest using the paint color as a bargaining point, assuming it wasn't bad, just not your favorite.

I'd second this as well as the ones saying that if you have any doubts, don't chance it. Unless you're someone who trades them in every year or so. But making sure the bugs are out before a roadtrip is definitely a valid suggestion.

No way would I spend big bucks on something that was not exactly what I wanted. If the colors are yucky they will always be yucky. I’d wait. Plus as mentioned you are going to want to take a shakedown trip to iron out the bugs.

If you wanted a brick house would you buy a wood exterior home?
HUGE investment, get what you have always wanted, you'll be happier with it longer.

You’ll be having to look at it a lot longer than the trip will last. Just sayin.

here are the two colors...
maybe I should have posted this question instead... just curious which color most people like from two below Champagne or Voyage. Don't say "the color should be the one YOU like..." I know that... I'm doing an experiment and if I tell you what that experiment is it will slant your vote...

Generally, a lighter color is better to hold down heat transfer to the interior. Not many of the new rigs have light colored paint schemes. Of the two you posted, I like the darker treatment. That is why we see darker schemes most often.
Note, the darker colors are harder to keep clean and free of visible scratches. Pearl white is reported to be best at hiding scratches.
As others have said, get what you want. Just make sure that is really what you want. I wanted a red car. A gold was available. It was our number two choice and was the right choice. Shows much less soil when it needs a wash.

I like the Voyage also.
But it's still up to you and what you like.
