Getting ready to begin our 32 day adventure

On Tuesday we will move into our camper at Quantico Marine Base. I reserved a nice space right on the water. I'm military and we are moving to Hawaii. Since the movers will begin packing our household items up, I figured it would be best to just stay there in the camper. On the 22nd, we depart to Louisiana to visit with family. I plan on three days driving to get there and have a nice rv park reserved for us. Afterwords we will travel north to spend a week in Branson, Missouri. Last, we will travel to Elkhart, Indiana to park the RV and visit with family there prior to flying to Hawaii.
We are going to miss camping for the next three years but will start back up upon our return. We decided to sell our Cameo and Dodge truck since having them sit for that long wouldn't be best. I'll set aside the money to have a healthy down payment when we are ready.
While in Branson, we intend to visit the theme park at Silver Dollar. What else does anyone recommend?

While in Branson you have to go to celebration city, good military discount and the best outdoor laser light show with music and fireworks we have ever seen!

We went to Branson three years ago, and by far the best show was Shoji Tabuchi.

enjoy Hawaii be sure to take a day trip to the big island and see the volcano's and see the trail of craters it is unbelievable

Thanks for your service. I see a new RV in your future, say a 2014 model. Be safe. Branson has so many shows now and I have never been to a bad one. If you have children they will love Silver Dollar City, but if they are like my kids when they were younger, didn't care too much about the shows.
We live in Louisiana, what part of the state are you visiting?
Anyway be safe and stay on the forum and keep us posted while in Hawaii.

Staying at the Lakeview RV park just north of Eunice, LA. My sister lives in Church Point.

If I recall, it is located just West of Eunice on Highway 190. The sites are nice and it has a small lake.

I see they normally have a band playing on Saturday nights. We won't be there to see it but it looked like a good time.
