Here in Louisiana lots of people opt for for the mountains in Colorado the nearest of which are about 1,000 miles from where I live.

We go north to family in summer, go to the Southwest in winter to family. Next year to far Southeast with RV friends. Between we only move with the wind.

Anywhere above 8000' elevation. Although, I still have Dolores, CO on my weather app from last year and it is showing highs up to mid 90's over the next week. There's no guarantees.

You have asked for your own oyster of opportunity to open!
We follow good weather in every season all over the map.
Not hot, not cold, not many bugs.
Landing at the same landing spots each season is not as much fun as using the Weather Channel ap to find the next venue for adventures!

What you need is either high altitude or high latitude. The closer to Canada the better. We spend our summers in Petoskey, Michigan about 90 miles from Canada. It is very pleasant here in summer, almost never hot. Most days the high is in the 70's.

We winter in Okeechobee, FL and summer in Creede, CO. Heater in AM to take chill off and on a rare day A'cond for an hour or so in the PM. A'cond only needed due to very dark colors on our coach. Tomorrow 75 hi and 44 low.

We are in NY on our way to Niagara Falls, the high today was 74 and overcast. I never thought I would have to wear jeans and a light jacket in the evenings in June. Love the weather up here for summer.

Bliss! We have friends and family in Colorado. It may be calling our name! Thank you!

That part of NY is on my list in the summer. Because my sweet husband still works (remote, from the motorhome), we can move on a late Friday or Saturday, then settle somewhere for the following week. Thank you for the suggestion!

Yep!
Not a philosophy really. But the best plan is NO PLAN! [emoji7]

Howdy!

We're from Texas but we fulltime time now. We find spending our summers somewhere about 6,000 feet for cooler temperatures works.

Elevation is a key. If you can get at 7,000 to 8,000' feet you'll be in perfect temperatures. You can do that in Arizona - really. Also in New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, Washington and California.

You can also be extremely comfortable along the western coastal cities and the Olympic Peninsula.

All are favorites of ours!

We're from Michigan but it can get hot, muggy and buggy.
