This will be our first trip to Quartzsite. We will be meeting friends there and will be dry-camping for one or two weeks.
My question is about fresh water. Those of you that have been there, do you drive with the tank full or do you find a place to fill up after arival?
I hate hauling 80 gal of fresh water if I don't have to. Any input will be welcome.
Don

We drive with a full water tank. You can also get water at the Pit Stop.
We just left the Q and will return in January.

If you plan on filling up there, better have a water softener. That stuff there is the hardest water I have ever seen.

I had no problem with the deep well water at the Pit Stop.

There is a truck that drives around in the more popular dry camp areas that sells water but I don't know for how much. He makes several trips a day in and around.

After he sells all the water, he will then empty your holding tanks

The "Pit Stop" also has propane, but can get very busy. Might consider spending a night at a RV Park and filling your tank and dumping the others. Quarzsite is one of those things you need to do, but not everyone enjoys it, you must have the right mind set. May see you there,as I love it.

The "chunks" are free, your filter should get them though!
