Golf carts in GA question

We are taking the golf cart with us to Jekyll island next week and I have a couple questions.
Per the state of GA law, the cart needs, among other items, "REFLEX REFLECTORS, SAFETY WARNING LABELS". I've searched from one end of the internet to the other and can find no explanation of where reflectors go, how many, or what safety warning labels are needed.
Any ideas? thanks

Call a golf cart dealer in that town.

They will know for sure.

That is usually the triangle reflector that goes on the back of the golf cart.
Don't know if they want more

When hauling my EZ Cart in the F150, I went into the Fort Wilderness at Disney World, got the 3rd degree, they felt I must be renting to their camp ground folks. Never took it off the truck there, had been using it at Arcadia.

Also having a need for the reflector on the cart, guess that means they are run at night ? So what is the rest of the story, head lights, turn sigs, backup lights, windshield wipers, horn, holly cow, where does it stop ?

Interesting you mentioned Ft wilderness. that is our final destination. we were there last nov. and the golf cart rental was more a car rental. so this trip we're taking the cart and will rent a car. not sure when you were there last, but I would guess maybe 50% of the carts were personal carts, so I'm not expecting any issues.
As for GA, here are the golf cart rules. keep in mind each city has the ability to allow/disallow on their streets.
Georgia state laws that went into effect Jan. 2, 2012, states all golf carts must have the following equipment:
1. A BRAKING SYSTEM SUFFICIENT FOR THE WEIGHT AND PASSENGER CAPACITY OF THE VEHICLE, INCLUDING A PARKING BRAKE;
2. A REVERSE WARNING DEVICE FUNCTIONAL AT ALL TIMES WHEN THE DIRECTIONAL CONTROL IS IN REVERSE;
3. A MAIN POWER SWITCH. WHEN THE SWITCH IS IN THE “OFF” POSITION, OR THE KEY OR OTHER DEVICE THAT ACTIVATES THE SWITCH IS REMOVED, THE MOTIVE POWER CIRCUIT SHALL BE INOPERATIVE. IF THE SWITCH USES A KEY, IT SHALL BE REMOVABLE ONLY IN THE “OFF” POSITION;
4. HEAD AND TAIL LIGHTS, REFLEX REFLECTORS, SAFETY WARNING LABELS, HORN, AND REAR VIEW MIRROR;
5. HIP RESTRAINTS (EACH PASSENGER MUST HAVE THEIR OWN SEAT BELT) AND HAND HOLDS.
NO GOLF CARTS ALLOWED ON BICYCLE PATHS.
THE GEORGIA STATE PATROL WILL REQUIRE THAT THE TRANSPORTATION OF ALL CHILDREN BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT AND BOOSTER SEAT LAWS.
THIS LAW DOES NOT AFFECT THE USE OF ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLES ON THE PUBLIC ROADS, WHICH IS STILL STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Golf carts in GA question

Seat belt are not required in Georgia State Parks. Hip restraints are the arm rest outboard of the seat. Triangle slow moving vehicle sign along with horn, reverse alarm, lights even though you can't drive at night and I used 6" reflective tape, silver front and red on the rear, to meet the reflector requirement
Probably no rules but age limit in a private campground.

All state rules: http://iltva.org/wp-content/uploads/...ads.071013.pdf

We plan on using the golf cart to get around not only the campground but also around the island as well. "

Golf Cart Rules
Tourist season is heating up on Jekyll Island and we’re starting to see more and more golf carts on our roads. On Jekyll, we do allow individuals to use golf carts on public roads and bring their own cart to the Island.
