Good Sam

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues trying to get reimbursed for Emergency Repairs. I've been dealing with them since Oct. 28/2010 and they refuse to pay for boosting a dead battery.

They monitor this web site RV.Net RV and Camping Forum ? RV, Trailer, Camper, Motorhome, Camping and Campground Information, so you might want to post over there. There is a forum just for GS ERS.
Good Luck

Did they give you a reason for the refusal? Be interesting to know why, especially since that is something that could easily happen to any of us. Bob

It was actually only the second day that I had signed up and the battery went dead. I phoned Good Sam and the lady gave me a name and number to call and said I would have to send in the receipt. We were on our way to Tucson and one thing lead to another so it was Spring by the time I got home and found out the claim had been denied. Though the summer months I was finally offered a free year, which I refused, the reason being if I couldn't claim on it, what good would it do me. I was told weeks later that after consideration a cheque would be on the way. Nothing arrived and fianlly today was told nothing would be. That the case was closed and I should write them a letter. Not a happy camper.

Good Sam ?????

Interesting to hear about the possible financial situation of GS...Haven't heard that at all...in fact, I've recently heard that they will soon come out with their own vehicle insurance and replace GMAC......

Anyone heard anything about that, and if so, any idea when they will come out with the insurance...

I had heard once a while ago, that GS was owned by the same person, or people that own Camper's World...

Thanks...

I believe there is a delay period after signing up that you cannot claim for repairs,,,, check it out.

I'd second the idea of posting this on the rv.net forum. That forum is actively monitored by Good Sam (in fact I think they went into a pretty tight partnership). Anyway if you post on the GS ERS thread there you're likely to get a pretty quick response directly from the powers that be.

I believe Affinity Group owns: Good Sam, Good Sam ERS,Camping World, Motorhome mag., Trailer Life Mag and I know Im leaving something out but you get the idea. Havent heard anything about any money problems but sure wouldnt surprise me. My ERS was due to expire 5/31/12 and I started to be billed in January. I finally paid yesterday after receiving another final notice. (3rd one) 5/1 cause Im getting ready for a extended trip and wanted to make sure they had $$ in hand while Im on the road. Just in case. lol
