Make sure you get a bigger mail box after joining. You will receive more "great offers" than you can imagine.

If there is a postage paid envelope included with thier offer, I usually stuff it with the contents of the original offer and mail it back to them. Like some one said above, hope you have a large mail box, your gonna need it.

DW and I have been GS members since 2004. True, they send a lot of mail, but if you're not interested in what they send, simply throw it away or recycle it. Membership has put us camping with lots of people and all that we've met are good folks. The best advantage to being a member is joining a local chapter and making new friends. I even went so far as to start a chapter myself. We have the Roadside assistance and have used it numerous times. We also have the extended warranty for our TT. Haven't used that, but the peace of mind that it brings is worth the cost. As someone else stated, the magiazine is worth the membership costs. Just my 2 cents worth.

Lots of mail, renewal will not be $12. They seem to be more interested in getting new members than keeping the old ones. A 10% discount at some campgrounds, same as FMCA, AARP, AAA, and others. Passport America 50% discount, will save you more money and Coach Connect has a good road service.

I'm not particularly a Good Sam fan, given the volume of junk mail, but Passport America parks are not always where you want them. We're spending nine days at two different campgrounds in New England that accept Good Sam. With proof of GS membership, we saved $46.20. In both cases, the campground rates were competitive before the discount. We pay $70 for a three year GS membership. The savings at just these two campgrounds paid for two years of the membership.
