Just to clear this up a bit; this is an extended service contract. By law it is not an extended warranty.
I bought a Good Sam ESC when we bought this MH. The 3-yr contract terminates the end of this April. To date, it has recouped the premium + all the deductibles and diagnostic charges (those are not covered)we have paid out of pocket. I would highly recommend that anyone buying a used MH also buy an ESC.
I would NOT recommend buying an ESC for a towable RV. As previously stated, the appliances have their warranty period, and the RV has its factory warranty. There is not nearly as much to fail with a towable as a self-propelled MH.
Our last 5er we used extensively for 8 years, and nothing that had to be repaired or replaced would have been covered by an ESC.

If you choose to buy an ESC, read the fine-print closely and make a note of what is NOT covered. If that is missing from the contract, there is no way to accurately determine that yourself.

Brand New tow behind shouldn't need an extended service plan. About the most expensive item to replace in your rig is the fridge. With normal use it should last 10-12 years and maybe more. After your two year Jayco warranty expires you should have all the bugs worked out of your rig and have pretty much worry free RV'ing after that. The other things that happen like low hanging tree branches taking off the TV antenna or maybe the awning will be covered by your auto type coverage you have on the trailer. Take the money Sam wants and put it away in case their is something that needs to be repaired. Good luck with your new rig!
