Already signed up... You get $1000 credit or $2500 depending on how you wish to repay. Auto from your checking gets you the $2500.

I tried to sign up but wouldn't give them my SSN. Never heard anything back. This buy the way is not a credit card it is a charge card, has to be paid off every month. I don't want my SSN setting who knows where in some unprotected database waiting to be stolen. Till they change that requirement, they won't get my business.

Yep, I saw and read it. I am reminded of something PT Barnum once said.

Hi all,
By law, your SS number must be collected when a company is providing credit. Actually, this will be a good deal for some RVers (not me). Look at it from a business case view.
The current Frequent Fueler Program offers:
1. 3 cents off diesel cash price per gallon.
2. Whatever discount the cc you use provides (mine is 5%).
This combination will provide a net price to the customer.

The program affiliated with GS
1. 8 cents off the cash price per gallon for a GS life member (me).

All the other benefits are pretty close to each other for each program.

If one does not have a cc (with a % cash back) or pays cash, the GS card may be the best deal. For me, the 3 cents discount and the AMEX 5% cash back is far better than the GS program.

The GS program is not bad. Like any other program each of us considers, the GS program has its' target market. Some will benefit and some (like me) will not. For those that will benefit, go for it.
