I live in New York City where every day I assume commercial trucks break down daily. This occurred in NYCity. I called "BAD" Sam, they set up the tow. I do not care if the wrecker was busy on other runs....not my problem. I pay for service and not excuses. Sorry

My mistake... it was 4 1/2 hours. Killed my day. Time is Money, I was not on vacation but driving the RV for service/maintenance during the work week when it broke down. Otherwise, The tow company was super helpful and the tow went fine.

If you feel that you are their advocate then that is fine. I find their service lacking and will NOT renew my membership for Road side assist.

From your comment " quit....do it yourself" it appears that my complaint is triggering an emotional response. I am not happy with the service and will not be renewing. I am posting to share my experiences with other members. Sorry.

I have had service within 40 minutes or as long as 4 hours. Some are close by and not busy on previous call efforts, many are already busy. A crap shoot.

When you find an RSA that can commit to on-site response within 1.5 hours, please let us know.

I have had to call Bad Sam twice.
First time I was in a campground and a slide would not retract. They sent a mobile guy who fixed the problem.
2 hours delay only.
2nd time they offered to tow me to a service centre. It was a transmission ecu that had failed.
I said no I don't want to be towed and elected to call a mobile mechanic who fixed the problem on the side of the road - that was 5 hrs but no tow damage.
I will be renewing my subscription.
They are just a call centre with a list of service people and tow truck operators to call.
Doesn't hurt to balance the scales
