Good Sam on Christmas Day

I have read both good and bad, mostly bad about Good Sam, I had my first experience with them on Christmas Day, I had a problem with my tow dolly and almost lost my car. I called Good Sam, they had someone to me within 45 minutes and called me back to make sure everything was ok.
Thanks Good Sam! Merry Christmas!

Tow. Dolly

Turned out to be operator error, did not have the straps on right, it was my second time with the dolly and the first time was a year ago.
Safe Travels

I have used Good Sams three times. Once with the RV and twice with the toad. The RV was damaged by the wrecker operator due to operator error and junk in the traffic lane in Dallas, TX. I filed a claim with Good Sams and they took immediate action to insure the wrecker company paid my claim, which they did. They have treated me very well in all three instances.

Here is what I believe is a secret for making the incident a successful one. I realize that their contract says tow only to nearest service facility, but I have found them to be willing to work with you in this phase of the process. I find a service facility on my own before I ever call them. That includes calling that facility and determining if they can and will do the job and getting the name and number of their POC. They have used my recommended repair shop in every instance even it may have been a few miles further.

I suspect that someone will respond that they are supposed to do that search, and I guess they would be right, but I am pretty sure that if I were taking that call, I would be more than happy if someone had already done a big part of my job. I also realize that if I am in the middle of Timbuktoo, that I am at the mercy of what is available, but that is not the fault of the towing service.

We've received good service from their ERS too.
re; the service facility. It's not necessarily the nearest, it's the nearest "qualified" facility to work on your vehicle.
