I need feed back I have been getting a mailer almost every week trying to sell us Good Sams Emergency Assistance PLUS, and after reading it, it sound way too good to be true, so before I even begin to check into it, I want to know has anyone paid for this service and if so have they used it and if so what was the results.

Real experiences are far better then the antipodal ones they provide in this sell brochures.

The first motor home we had we had Good Sam Emergency on it . On our first longer trip we lost our transmission and had to be towed into a shop. They took good care of us. Now that we are fulltime we never leave home with out it.

I have the Good Sam Emergency Road coverage. Its great because it covers any car registered at my address. I used it when my Daughters car battery went dead, when I was coming back from AZ and ran out of gas ; ), when my dually truck hit a large piece of metal in the road and blew out a tire on my truck, and twice when I locked my keys in my MH. (I finally fixed that problem!)

It's a good program, and yes, once you are in their system say hello to their junk mail!!!

DW insists on paying for the Good Sam medical coverage every year as she does not want to drive the motorhome back if I get sick or injured on a trip. Thank God we have not needed to use it yet.

That was another matter we were taking into consideration, we are not retired yet, but not as young as we used to be, and we do have medical insurance, but the things that they claim to cover seem to be a great deal for the price of just over a hindered buck a year for both of us.

We have, and have used. the Emergency Service, but decided that the medical plus was a bit redundant. We're gettin' old, but we know we'd be able to find someone to drive our rig home, if needed....

Boy, do they ever send out the junk mail! :( I figure we probably don't need it, if they want us to buy it that badly!

Talk about the junk mail---these people violate the Green law for sure. They must burn up 50 trees a year in one forest in paper. I mean big trees. There should be a law against it, but that would require too much paper to burn on the law.

READ THE FINE PRINT VERY CAREFULLY. I was considering it several years ago until I got to the part about existing conditions. With all the heart problems I've had, I would probably get no help. If you've had no medical problems, then it may be a good thing.

Question, in reading the sells pitch,, I thought it had nothing to do with road service, and was only a medical service am I wrong?

Thanks I will go back and read that fine print, before we decide on anything.

You are correct. The road service is GS Emergency Road Service.
