Good Sams/Rand GPS

Is there a way to share my trip route with others in the group I camp with?
Do I give them my pass phrase?

Yes there is, IF you use something like Good Sam software to create your route, then download it to your GPS. I forget how it actually works though.
So you are saying your group leaves from the same area and will follow your route? If they create a route for themselves, departing the same area, with the same destination, the route should be, for all practical purposes, the same.;providing they all use the same settings as you.

Yes, as we are all going to Mackinaw City, MI from St. Louis. I have planned fuel stops and camp locations along the way. this is what I want to share for the route.

I think sharing your passphrase for that particular planned trip works, but I haven't tried that for different log-ins to the RM Dock software.
I wouldn't hurt to try it with a test trip to one other individual.
You don't have to worry about the passphrase exposing you to anything, as you get a new one for each planned trip.
It would help to phone GS and ask their technical dept. about your proposal.
