Got a problem

Well yah I'm a newbie. Just bought my first RV it's a 2004 Monoco Sigunature 45 ft. We took it for a test run. It is our first trip in the RV. We are headed to Colorado next weekend to ride RZR's around Silverton. We thought we should go and try to learn all the systems before our big trip. And checked it out to make sure everything works.
OK guys here's where I need help. We got everything hooked up. City water, elect, sewer. But I have no water in the shower. We have water hot and cold water in the sinks, ice maker, water to stool. Just nothing in the shower.
What am I missing? When I shut off the city water and go to 12 volt pump I still have no water in shower. I called the previous owner he said ne never used city water only the water tank and had no problems with the shower.
HELP and Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Have you checked the shower head to see if it's clogged ? Also are the outside shower valves in the open position?

I'm not sure if there is a shutoff valve exclusive to the shower on your rig, or not, but WELCOME ABOARD anyway! Hope you find a quick answer to your question! \ken

How about that shut off right on top of the shower head. Some have a little push button valve up there

Do you have a two handle shower control or is it a single handle? If it is single, are you sure you are operating it correctly? I don't have your coach, but I've never heard of a separate shut off for the shower beyond the control valves in the shower.

We have a lever we turn right to left to adjust the temp but we must pull the lever towards ourself about a 1/2 inch to turn the water on. Try pulling it out a bit.

On mine at the base of the tubing coming out of the shower wall, was and on/off switch. Most RV's have these so you can take a military shower, Navy shower or combat shower - all are the same just trying to be diplomatic.

I've removed my original and now the switch is in the shower head.

Do you have a small trickle of water? Most of the switches work by leaving a small trickle of water.

"Okie pilot"......Your coach has what is called a manabloc water system. It's a manifold controlling water to various items in your coach. It allows you to shut off the water to various areas of the coach if a break in the line occurs. You need to find the manifold and make sure the water to the shower is turned on. It's pretty good size and should be in or near the water bay.

X2 on the Manabloc valve system, this may be your problem.

Find the water pump and trace the line from the water block as it provides all the water to the system and the Manabloc is designed to isolate any of the individual water supplies. There should be a small key with the valves that you use to open/close the valves.

If the water was shut off to the shower there is a possibility that you have a leak so after turning it on do a thorough check, particularly on the water valve itself.

I'm not Catholic but I'm gonna confess.

I got off the forum just a few minutes to early last night and did not see this post. As I was brushing my teeth about 11 pm I looked over in the shower and thought I would move the temp setting that I thought was the water valve. Short answer is I moved it out a little and bingo water.

Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions. I really do appreciate it.

Wouldn't it be great if most all of the problems were this easy to resolve.
