Got the Black Water Blues

Well, it finally happened. After a week at the Depot in Cape May, NJ I went to dump the black water tank just prior to leaving. I firmly pulled the handle up and......

NOTHING! No surge of muck and filth, nothing.

I ran the handle up and down a few times, and still nothing, but now it would not close. No chance now to just head home and fix it later. A little banging and jiggling the pipe and Woosh, thar she blows. But now I was stuck with a handle that would not close. No amount of flushing would fix it, so out come the tools and apart comes the valve. Just as I thought, stuck with toilet paper. "Honey, what kind of toilet paper did you buy?" Well, I came to find that the new packs were septic safe, but the roll that started the trip was not.

Anyway, it was a little messy, but it could have turned out a lot worse.

Anyone else have a Black Water story?

Usually I get the blues because I'm leaving camp & going back to work, Not from the black water per se.
