Big rig side of story! Big power 600hp light load or empty, awesome jake retarding ability, RV in the way slowing him down. Sometimes you have to pass when a chance comes available or be stuck behind someone who is not on a time schedule. Then again sometimes it is just plain stupidity! I have been there and done it and now try to stay out of the way. Rving is not a race to me.

remember the old saying:.. You can go up a mountain TOO SLOW many times, but you can come down TOO FAST only once.

As I recall there is a Wrecker Company on the very top, that make's its entire living on the misfortune of those that have to drive Mont Eagle. I finally come to the conclusion there is nothing on TOP worth seeing anyway... GO AROUND!!! ha ha ha

X2. Been there done that. Did they both stay in their lanes? Did they seem to be matching your speed on purpose? Sounds like Slow/loaded guy on your right. You passing him and the other truck passing you both. If he's got the power, no heavy load, good Jake Brake, etc. He's just doing his job and it was intimidating being in that spot. Doesn't sound like anybody did anything wrong. Been there many times in the coach and all kinds of semis. He had a reasonable expectation that everybody there can handle their own equipment properly.
Then again, he might have been a maniac. I wasn't there and they certainly are out there. Just sayin.

Yep, always liked those old "two stick" rigs. Drove mostly 10 speeds, 13s, and 18s, all roadrangers but had an old KW for a while with a 5X4 double over hooked up to a 400 Cummins (turned up). Sure was fun to drive. Reaching through the steering wheel to shift both sticks at the same time was a learned skill. Get both sticks up against the dash and that thing was really moving. Most fun I ever had and got paid for it.
Sorry folks, didn't mean to get off topic.

I cut my teeth with a 318 Jimmy and a 5&4 two stick. No power steering and not much of a Jake. It took a long time to get her goin and a long time to get her stopped.
Most of these guy's on the road today wouldn't be able to deal with that. There are good and bad out there.

I like to stay out of their way as I don't think they care for RVers because they are working and were playing.
