Great Deal On Craigslist

I was looking at Craigslist and saw this motorcoach. Looks like a great deal.

"2003 Monaco Windsor 40PST - $72000 (lexington)"

In fact, this is such a great deal it is also listed identically (wording and even the pictures are the same) in the following cities:

Huntsville
Gainesville
Gilbert
Fort Lauderdale
Columbia
Des Moines
Carlsbad

and probably more cities. Be careful out there people. I wonder what would happen if I responded to the Craigslist reply to mail.

Craigslist is a haven for scammers. I have seen many deals on there that were too good to be true and that's exactly what they were.

Right, first thing I need to know is your banking info so we can complete the transaction.

It is a total scam that is very well organized.

I followed a link and documented a full 2 weeks of emails from "the seller", the bogus law firm with the escrow accounts set up at the bank, the phony contracts, vehicle inspections, etc., etc. All woven together with the end plan of getting you to deposit payment into the "law firms" escrow account. At the end of the road I contacted the police in 2 different cities and all they would say is I didn't lose any money to the scammers so no crime was committed.

Thus, the scams continue on Craigslist. Here's another from the same people that is from today on Craigslist Dallas and other cities.
2006 Monaco Cayman 36PDQ

And, as always, it is "let the buyer beware". These people should be in prison but even when called to their attention the law does nothing about it. Sad story. Here is the final email I sent to the scammers:

"Dear "Julia" and "Mr. Burk":

Aren't these on-line games fun? Sure is a great way to pass the time. Your scam has multiple holes in it that I am in the process of sharing with the authorities - and the real Mr. Burk in Washington, D.C.

You're not nearly as good as you think you are, but you do provide a lot of entertainment for us old folks..... "

What got my attention was the fact it stated in the ad that it was being sold "by owner" but in the pictures you could clearly see other RV's on a lot. Nice looking rig, and I wish it was for sale locally, but as they say "if it looks to good to be true, it probably is" .

Local paper had a "free" cycle to anyone who wanted it. Story was grandson got killed and poor old gramps cried everytime he saw the cycle he bought for the grandson. Just wanted it out of his sight... All you had to do was pay the shipping. I emailed him and pulled his chain for a few weeks.

Then it appeared again, cycle now on the East coast. Orginally, grandson lived on the West coast. Had pictures and all, beautiful cycle, just didn't exist.

Wonder how many suckers jumped at that deal? Only $500 to ship it? Shipping company was a "Reverand Brown." No Allied?

There is no free lunch.

Once I told them I'm bringing the money with me, cash, where do I come to get it! It actually took three days before they could come up with an answer..
The RV is not local but is in storage out of state, send money transfer and it will be shipped! Ha Ha

Hey! Are we related? I also have a distant cousin who is some kind of Ambassador in Nigeria. I was very surprised to find out about my ancestry. Do you have any pictures?
