But NOT Great Escapes.........

I'm always looking for a better deal so which ones are better than PPA?

I can tell you that the last CG we were at noticed our CW-Good Sam Club card in my wallet and they gave us the discount. We didn't even know they were on the list.

Whew! Thanks for the warning

It is so great to know that there is a wonderful resource for newbies like me. I too have been receiving e-mails entitled "Photos (do not bend)" and offers from Great Escapes. Fortunately I searched for information on IRV2 forums and thanks to everyone that posted I did not take advantage of their 90 day trial! Whew!

Glad to know G RV E is what it is...

In the past four years, we've had two 13K + mile summers using the MH. We used Passport America almost exclusively(when available) and it saved us a bundle both summers. We found Good Sam almost worthless unless the campground was directly on our route. You don't have to drive very far out of your way to eat up their paltry 10% discount with the extra fuel costs it takes to get there.

Now that our 13K mile summers are pretty much a thing of the past(maybe), we hope to use CGs as 'destinations' rather than one or two night stays while traveling. I think GS will become more cost efficient with the longer stays.

As one that is missing the RVing planning gene, we really never know what area we are going to end up, so... some these camp clubs(like GRVE) are of little use to us...right now anyway.
