Some good traveling music already mentioned, but no one has said "Convoy" or "West (or East) Bound And Down". I always picture the movie clips when these tunes were running. And I like many of the truckers tunes that have a tempo and beat reflecting the speed and motion of windshield wipers.

When our kids were young we had a 76 Allegro on a Dodge truck chassis. It regularly blew an exhaust manifold gasket and I'd replace it every few thousand miles. Anyway, They would sing On The Road Again with a variation. it went: On the road again, on the road again, hope this Motorhome makes it to the end____.

Well, I do like the theme music to the old Lone Ranger series.

When the children were young, whenever we set out on a camping trip, we sang this song from The Hobbit.
As two old folks, we still do.

The Greatest Adventure, The Ballad of The Hobbit
From the animated movie The Hobbit

The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.
Today and tomorrow are yet to be said.
The chances, the changes are all yours to make.
The mold of your life is in your hands to break.

The greatest adventure is there if you're bold.
Let go of the moment that life makes you hold.
To measure the meaning can make you delay;
It's time you stop thinkin' and wasting the day.

The man who's a dreamer and never takes leave
Who thinks of a world that is just make-believe
Will never know passion, will never know pain.
Who sits by the window will one day see rain.

The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.
Today and tomorrow are yet to be said.
The chances, the changes are all yours to make.
The mold of your life is in your hands to break.

The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.

Wow, great selections for "hitting the road" music..! I'm going to have to put together a new greatest hits cd for the new coach..! Our personal favorite has always been:

Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride"..!
