We use hand signals only, If something needs to be said she will stop me, or I will stop, and she will come to the drivers window, no shouting.
As some one else mentioned, if I can't see her I stop. .

I enjoy friendly people but they are a distraction, (and often a PITA), while something important, like backing the coach or connecting the toad, is happening!
