Hand Steamer for Clothes

I bought a hand held steamer from Amazon just to give my clothes a once over before putting them on. It really works well. I hadn't thought about it before, but it would probably come in handy when traveling with the truck and trailer. It's quick and very easy to use. I don't know if it's okay to mention brand so I'll just pass along the idea in case I'm the only one it dawned on to take it along.

I used to have one of those and yes, they do work well.

I plan on getting another soon.

Just replaced our steam iron with a Sunbeam Classic Teflon iron. That iron puts out way more steam than I've ever seen in a standard steam iron. Cost is under $20 at Bed Bath & Beyond when using their 20% discount coupon.
Take a look here:
Amazon.com: Sunbeam 3017-000-000 Sunbeam® Classic Iron: Home & Kitchen

Happy trails,

Steam iron and hand steamer do two different jobs. I use them both. The hand steamer can be used without a table, and can get wrinkles out without putting a crease in the material. Steam iron gives a flatter result, but it needs an ironing board or table, can make fabrics shiny, and it also will put a crease in things where you don't want them, such as a coat sleeve.

Why can't a Steam Iron with a good volume of steam perform the same as a steamer? Why can;t you hold the iron like a steamer and steam the wrinkles out that way, thus only having 1 item instead of 2?

Like I mentioned in my original post the CLASSIC model puts out plenty of steam. There's 3 steam settings and the high one puts out volumes. No need to press it out on a ironing board.
Ours works great.
