Why does it have to be so "Hidden" under Community drop down? Why could it not be a seperate heading on the main forum page just like;
RV'ing with Pets Full-Timers
Solo RV'ers RV'ing On A Budget
I don't understand why this is so different and difficult to deal with.

I think there is a method to the current plans that may be crazy like a fox. The difference in the current set up is that any thread from any "forum" can be tagged to be brought to the attention of the subscribers to the disabilities group. That would mean if someone posted something in ANY forum that could be of use to the disabled community then it can be tagged and be listed in the disabilities thread list.

Consider using this link to enter that social group directly.

iRV2 Forums - Disabled RVers

The tagging will be done through a combination of automatic policies such as key words and manual tagging by moderators and users.

You will see that the mods have already tagged some older threads. Look for more detailed instructions on how users can tag threads. There are some already but I THINK they are doing some tweaking of that feature also.

MODS - DID I GET THAT ALL CORRECT?

Yes that's the gist of it. The reason we choose this path instead of a single forum is that topics of special interest to those with disabilities end up in all areas of the forum - some are on how to make modifications to a specific rig, others are on traveling issues, etc. If you just scroll down through the list of threads we've already tagged you can see the variety of forums involved.

To segregate these discussions in their own forum means that most folks will never see them. In other words, if you need advice on modifying a specific rig, those with valuable technical info will not be likely to see the discussion, because frankly, those without disabilities aren't likely to ever look at topics in a "disabled" forum.

But it's worthless to those of us using the IRV2 apps.

I may be late to the discussion but am really glad to find it. Kudos to everyone who forwarded the conversation. I'm pushing 75 and driving our 40-footer, while DH tends to the hook ups and stuff. His vision keeps him from driving, so at times we are looking for solutions to bumps we encounter. We love being out and about together and going on adventures. As long as DH doesn't step off a cliff or something crazy, we'll continue the saga. And I just need to take care with enough sleep and patience to be safe on the highways. Thanks for advocating for this group. We have use of all our arms and legs, and maybe our minds, but we too have questions that will be answered in this group.

Handicap Forum

To me the title of the forum whether is "Handicap, Disabilities, Special Needs, Health, etc" is unimportant. Whether it is called soda or pop depends on where someone was raised. The important thing is, there should be a Forum that is dedicated too and board enough to cover all types of Physical and Health issuses. Tying to find specific topic is the General or Coummity type Forums is very hard and time consuming.

If the adminstrators do not think that there is a need, then why has there been 14 pages of comments posted on the topic since 1/17/2013? Compared to only two pages of comments in the Green Form.
