Hartford Insurance?

Has anyone filed a claim on their motorhome with Hartford?

I have a week to decide what company I want to use for my insurance. Hartford is half the cost of a Progressive plan (which is the lowest).

I have them and filed a claim from tire blow out. Not a problem at all. They covered everything including a motel stay. Would recommend them with no question.

good luck and safe travels

Same here, much better price and no problem with claim. No run around, just go have it fixed.

Got a very good price from H had them for a year and for some reason (zero claims) the renewal came in $1,800 higher than the previous year because they didn't calculate something correctly"!!!!!!!!!!
Dumped them and their low ball buy-in scam. Lots of companies do this apparently but not to that extreme.

The only claim I've had with them is for a chipped windshield. They sent Safelite out the same day to fix it no charge.

I had Hartford for two years then they lowered the boom and almost doubled the price. Dropped them and they have never even been in the same solar system when comparing.

Had them for 5 years

And they have never went up. In fact this year was about $20 cheaper than last year. I check other companies every year and Hartford is always cheaper. I have not had a claim though.

I have had my RV as well as my everyday driver insured with Hartford for many years. I also have 1 classic car insured with Hagerty, and a second one with State Farm. In addition, I carry roadside assistance with Good Sam, which covers any vehicle that you happen to be driving. Hartford also has a roadside assistance program as part of their RV coverage, which only includes any other car listed ON THE SAME POLICY.

That's where I screwed up. One of my classic cars quit on the way back from a car show, and I had to have it towed to secure storage that evening, and then to a service facility a day later. I called Hartford by mistake, rather than Good Sam. To make a long story short, Hartford agreed to reimburse me for the two tows, as a good will gesture, even though they were under no obligation to do so. It took 5 months of phone calls and letters, but it was never a matter of them arguing, it just seemed like they could never get everything figured out.

On that basis, I will renew with them again this year, unless their rates go up disproportionately. They have always been the cheapest during the years I shopped around. Maybe the fact that I have paid them $8600.00 in premiums over the past 5 years with no claims convinced them to eat $150.00 in towing bills that they weren't really responsible for. I don't really know......it would be nice to think that someone gave me a break as a courtesy.

What limits are ya'll getting for Bodily Injury Liability, Property Liability and Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury and Medical Payments? While searching for a new policy these limits range a lot.
