Probably in the wrong area of the country tho.

They are done taking applications. The application did read that you had to be in the SoCal area and the RV's motor did have to be in great shape since they would not work on the motor. They wanted different pictures of the outside and inside. They also asked about what kind(s) of theme(s) you wanted. There were a few other questions but it was not a long application.
Yes we did apply but did not hear anything back. And now that we have seen some of the shows I doubt that we would agree to them doing anything.

Good show for the DVR and provides a glimpse into the construction of RV's especially older ones and some of the engineering now available. Pretty unique mods.

I really liked the episode about the Barber Shop build. If the owner made a deal for parking it with a high traffic retail mall = $$$.

But, like said above, the renovations are a bit over the top...like the most recent Ultimate Tailgater. The owners specifically said "...Please keep a private area for us..." BUT the entire bus forward of the ramp became a Pub! They are not taking that thing camping anymore.

And, has anyone else noticed they NEVER touch the bath(?) That is the first thing they do in most of the home remodeling shows. I think the tech in lavatory systems has made giant leaps in the last 30 years - Even Bret Michaels tour buses have nice baths.

I watched one episode, and that was enough. Just another lame formula rehab show. Just like the car rehab and home remodeling shows. (but... what's with those 4 inch wide headbands?)

These shows are all produced. There is nothing real about them. Cars, houses, RVs... they're all the same and follow the same phony formula with no regard for the realities of engineering or logistics:

Phase 1: start of project; optimistic, high expectations. do this for him/her because he's great guy/a hero/disabled/my grampa/its his birthday

Phase 2: start work; gratuitous demolition scenes; add exciting new ideas; discover unanticipated problems

Phase 3: pause to regroup; decide to push onward because we're a can-do team.

Phase 4: redouble efforts; strong happy team effort; suddenly encounter critical roadblock late in timeline.

Phase 5: crisis meeting; must succeed because they're counting on us; everyone give 110%; grampa/hero/great guy CANNOT be disappointed.

Phase 6: all hands on deck! big push; project complete with only minutes to spare; emotional presentation with gimmick (move the bus.... light the giant torches..... etc); women weep openly, tough guys choke up and discreetly wipe away tears; fade to black.

I wonder if they ever weigh the rigs after making all those modifications and adding a BUNCH of stuff.

I really wanted to like it, but most of the mods are
overkill, and Bret Michaels "I designed the whole thing" BS is unbearable.

Whole episodes should be released later...until then, you can watch segments on-line, like this:
Ultimate Tailgater : Rock My RV With Bret Michaels : Travel Channel

...from their website:
Rock My RV With Bret Michaels : TV Shows : Travel Channel

Or on YouTube, like:

Best luck and enjoy

Not only that, but there's no way they could, that conversion makes it impossible to park and deploy in less than probably at least a 30-32' wide space.

And, has anyone else noticed they NEVER touch the bath(?) That is the first thing they do in most of the home remodeling shows. I think the tech in lavatory systems has made giant leaps in the last 30 years - Even Bret Michaels tour buses have nice baths.

Also has anyone noticed when they do remodel the kitchen, the sink is SO tiny!

It's somewhat amusing but his mods aren't practical for the serious RVer but great if you're a hard core tailgater.
