Has anyone successfully unhooked their seat belt pretensioners?

I can't find a thread anywhere and was wondering if anyone has successfully unhooked their pretensioners and removed their front seats in an E450 Calss C?
I would like to add some thermo-coustic insulation on the floorboard..

Have not tried but if it has been installed, there must be a way to take it out. Perhaps a call to the manufacturer will get the information you require.

I finally found a ford document online that said to unhook the negative terminal on the battery and wait a few minutes for the backup to drain.
A friend that used to work at a dealership said wait 20 minutes so I gave it an hour! Didn't want any airbag discharge!!!
