We recently bought a 1994 gulfstream scenic cruiser with no owners manual. We have filled lp gas tank and wonder if theres a switch or trying to figure out how to get the lp gas to deliver to the unit ? It is lp generator, water heater & stove ! is there a switch to control the lp from inside the unit or could it be a safety precaution on the carbon minoxide detector that controls it. We haven't checked the detector yet to see if the batteries are good ? really confused ! our old class C is controlled at the lp tank ! Any help would be appreciated !! Thanks

There should be a propane sensor down low in the RV. make sure it is on and the batteries are good for the coach.

Also, the obvious is to turn on the main valve at the tank.....

yes ! It won't lite unless you send current 12 volt current to celenoid on the gas line between regulator & stove ! If you send current there, then you can crank generator & lite stove ! Just wondering if there was a switch to cut it on & off / thanks

Also, when turning the tank valve on you should turn it slowly. There is a n excess flow provision inside the valve and turning it on quickly may "slug" the excess flow and the gas flow will be severely restricted.

Sorry, we posted at about the same time.

Would anyone know where to find a used windshield for our 1994 Gulfstream Scenic Cruiser ! we are in North, Fl., so anywhere within an appropiate driving distance around Fl., Ga. or Al. !!! We need drivers side bad and if we can get a reasonable price we will take both sides !! Thanks so much !!!

Start with a visual inspection of the area of the Propane tank and valve.

Two systems are common: On my coach you will see the valve, then the regulator (you may have to remove a plastic cover) then the hose off to the manifold and lines to the assorted "Stuff" that burns propane (That is the factory version)

The modified version you see the valve, the Extend-a-flot "T" fittings and then the regulator and so on.

On some .. you will ALSO see an electric solenoid valve (it has wires and a coil) on these, see above posts.

Second,, the valve.. IT IS LEFT HANDED,, Read what is embossed/moulded in the handle regarding open/close.. Most valves close clockwise, this one opens that way if I'm not mistken.

THEN try to light the stove. It may take a hile.

Start a new thread for this question so everyone browsing the forums will see it and respond.

Glad to hear your lp gas problem is fixed.

swampfoxx, be sure and shut off the propane detector when yo store the rig. It is a parasitic load and will drain the battery. If you do not have a battery shut off, I recommend adding a manual 12 VDC shut off.
