What route are you taking? Anywhere near Chattanooga? I would meet you for a bacon snack if you are.

Love to Chuck, but our trek is straight down 95 till we get to the Florida Turnpike, then down Route 1 to the end.

Ah someone that knows the Keys are east west not north south like US1 is tagged. Of course most of US1 is north south.

Must go to's IMHO are Hemingway house, the light house, Mallory Square at sunset for sure, Capt. Tony's Saloon (the original location of Sloppy Joe's) Mel Fisher Maritime Museum if you are into SCUBA or treasure hunting.

Since you will be in Cudjoe, take a ride down Boca Chica Rd. to the end than walk down the old road after the barricades. There is "house" built out of driftwood and junk dug into the dune and the "Cuban Freedom" boat down there. Jets from the Naval station might take off right over your head so close you can see the pilot. Stop at Geiger Key Smokehouse for lunch. Boca Chica Rd is the turn Ocean side where the Circle K is.

Doesn't all the way to the end get you to Duval St? Not a good place to drive a MH+towed. Visit The Doughnut Shop near the West end of Duval, and 1/2 block South- at the Marylin Monroe statue. Very hard on a diet, delicious on the taste-buds. Best apple fritters I've ever eaten, Coffee to make Starbucks cry.

We are down in Islamorada, for a week. It has to be the best weather in the USA, kids are diving off the boats into the canals behind us. Must be 75 degrees, sun shining, trade winds blowing.

I forgot our favorite Cuban eatery, El Siboney restaurant, 900 Catherine St. www.elsiboneyrestaurant.com
They only have about 10 parking slots there, so an early lunch or dinner might be best unless you are bicycling or walking the city. You will be a block North of the Southernmost Point Bouy too.

Love Blue Heaven - they take pets there, too at certain tables. Great breakfasts. We parked on the street both times we went just about 1/2 block up the street.

You are right about El Siboney! Best Corn on the Cob Ever! Anything fishy or any Salad is Great. My friends love the Pork, as well.

It is on the corner of Catharine & Margaret-Parking garage across the Street
