Headlight lenses 2005 Newmar Essex

Any suggestions on headlight lenses.
They are pretty cloudy so i called Newmar and had an almost heart attack!!
They said you can't just buy the lenses. You have to by the whole unit and it's 1000.00 Dollars. I said oh for the pair ? He said each
wow,,I looked on the light housing and the lens can be removed. It has 4 tabs.
Anyone out there have a similar situation? ANY Direction would be helpfull.
Sal

I'm not sure which units are installed in your MH, but my experience has been you will want to replace the entire light assembly. However the good news is there should be plenty of aftermarket options available. There will be some numbers/codes on the front of the light. Google them and you will likely find aftermarket replacements for a fraction of what you heard.

Yet one of those lens repair kits that are available at most parts stores. May not be the best option but you could buy a hundred or so of them for the price of one lamp assembly.

Car finish polishing compound or toothpaste with elbow grease will clean them up

Get the DOT number off them and see is they come from a late model car, MH manufactures love to reuse lights. I replaced mine from amazon for like $88.00 shipped for both housings and the bulbs, mine are chevy lumina lights per the DOT number. Its worth a try, and saves lots of money.

Same with my coach. 1999-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. After market replaces are under $100 for the complete assembly.

Same here. 2005 Monaco Monarch headlights where from A 2000 Nissan Pathfinder. $120.00 for a brand new pair from ebay. Dot #'s made it easy to match up.

As was mentioned above, toothpaste will do it for a couple of bucks. Try it. Can't make it any worse than it is now.
