Heat Gun

I'm using a heat gun to remove decals from RV. I'm getting close to the gas inlet cap. Should I stop at this point and remove the decal around the cap another way ? signed Dumber then Dumber

No, don't use the heat gun near the gas filler, it has a red hot heating element that could set off fumes. I used:
www.crystaltek.us.com vinyl off product. U can get a small bottle for a few bucks.

Try a clothes steamer, you get wet heat without the burning effect of a heat gun. That is what I used to remove the 3-M clear cover on the front of my coach. Works great.
