Hi...My camper Project

May I tell you what I have been doing.....My 1976 prowler should have been hall of for junk but I have repaired it aneyway....Here is a fue things.... All new roof vents and resealed roof...She had a lot of water damage and the more I tore into it the worse it got. I Replaced rotten floor,3 walls in rear bedroom, ceiling rafters in bedroom. Then it was worthy of a new door, new wood floor, new tail lights ,new wiring from front to back. I also rebuilt the compartment doors today..I also painted all inside, replaced bathroom and kitchen Faust's,replaced pump, new battery, repaired all screens.Built a platform for bed and a draw under bed....Im almost done...My wife is making new curtains and cushions and I have a little more carpentry work to do inside and a little painting outside..Now I may have spent to much money and time on this but its been a fun project....I cant wait to go camping in a fue weeks..I will thank some pitcher's when finished....I bet you all think Im nuts fixing this old thing but we want to see how much we love camping before I get something expensive..Mat...Sorry about my spelling and I even used spell check..Here is what it looked like when I started..

Looks like a complete gut and remodel job. It also looks like it's going to be very nice when you finish. How is the running gear? Does it need new bearings, tires, wheels or even new axles and or springs? Post a few more pictures as things progress along.

Wow, looks like a big project. I have done a couple of rigs like that and I know how much work it can be. Enjoy your new trailer.

Thanks Guys.....The first thing I did was look it all over and take this camper down the road at a good pace....Went well, breaks work, Bearings need to be packed and that I may need to ask about...Tires ars cracked bad. They hold air but lets just say the first camp sight is only 10 miles away...I guess I need to find some tires soon.....I think Im going to have 2000 in a trailer that still needs a black water tank.....I floored over the hole for now it will a Porty potty to pee in ..Next winter I may replace tank or sooner depending how much we hate the porty...I picked up a Colman unit that doesn't take bags..

Do I think you're nuts? Yes, but most of us here are right in that can of mixed nuts with you.

How cool will it be to go camping in something you essentially built!

I would, you want them to roll smoothly.

One quick question, if something breaks who are you going bitch about the quality control? Doesn't look like it going to be problem.

You did a great job Mat! I can almost picture a skillet on that stove with a nice salsa omlette, bacon, hot sauce, and two steamin' cups of coffee on the table for you and the Mrs.!
