Fuel prices and operating costs will have no effect on our travel plans and the use of our motor home.
My pensions and retirements pay the bills and I am blessed with a job skill that is high demand and pays super good and that takes care of everything else.
One 30 day trip will take care of all the RV expenses for the year unless something expensive breaks and another short trip will take care of that.

Come November and I will be in the voting booth.

Even though I'm a Thousand Trails Elite member and can camp at lots of places for free... closest one is about 250 miles from me... soooooo, I'll probably just drive over the hump to Pahrump and my favorite RV Park, Terribles RV Park and Casino. Only 60 miles

Their website has pictures of $100 bills on fire. Appropriate for a casino.

Really, I've heard LOTS of glowing recommendations for this CG. I have it on my short list if I get out that way this season.

For this year and time...it does not matter. We have been planning a trip to Alaska for 2 years and we took into consideration the fuel price. wish it was lower than it is or what it could go up to.

7,000 mile summer trip and that's just major points - no side trips. Plus three or four long weekend trips at 3 to 5 hundred miles each. I see us at the normal (for us) 10,000 mile year. I am NOT going to let let 4/5 dollar gas cost ruin this part of our retirement.

We just got back (yesterday in fact) from a 2,500 mile trip to CA then over to Phoenix for the Good Sam rally there. Lost an awning in Fresno (first one ever for me).
Fuel prices are high so we'll stay closer and use Wal*Marts more.

We'll do our normal 8,000 miles. This year we're going as far west as LV and all the National Parks In Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico , Colorado and then some. My goal is for the last check I write to bounce.

This is our first summer with our motor home and we don't have specific plans for this summer other than our week in Branson. Plan lots of weekend close to home. As far as fuel prices being a deterent - don't think it will be. We will just scrimp someplace else. Time is a larger issue for us than fuel prices as we are both still working.

BUMP - bound to be more posters and/or voters here, especially with fuel prices still rising, and RVing season drawing closer...

Looking forward to out first planned MH outing pulling the boat, over to Diamond Lake Oregon first part of June - probably a trip or 2 to our favorite fishing lake about 50 miles away as well...
