Highway 89 along west side of Tahoe

89 from i80 to s. Lake Tahoe = What a miserable, overcrowded, road-construction infested, windy/climby mess.

There, I feel better.

Welcome to 'construction' season! It has been a long time since I traveled that road, but I do not remember it as being a 'first class' road.

I think this year is one of the worst. Monday thru Friday is a mess. Any expense to keep Tahoe clear.

I agree, I rode my motorcycle that route a year ago and it sucked then.

Yes. Welcome to our tourist and road destruction season. It's a beautiful area and drive when not so crowded.

The east side of Lake Tahoe-Nevada side, is usually easier to navigate, Those in a real hurry, Take 395 South thru Carson City and pick up hwy 50 west to South Lake Tahoe.
