Any history buffs out there that can give me the history of Beaver Coaches. Just bought our 2005 Monterey and would like to know more about her ancestors?

Been around for a long time. Originally started making campers as I remember.

Their website still exists. Monaco left it for owner's reference.

The afore mentioned website is only Monaco's old site that included Beaver products that Monaco built. Not much real history.

There is some information on the history of Beaver Coaches on www.jrconsumer.com. It states the company started in a small town in Oregon in the 1970's and was acquired by Monaco in 2001.

I guess I was mistaken. Sorry. The disclaimer from Monaco that pops up reads
Quote:
Monaco did not create the contents of this website....

turn1fan: Check out the following website Beaver Ambassador Club This is the Beaver Ambassador Club website. Or just click on History of the Beaver Brand which will take you right to the info.

I'm a member but never been to any of their rallies but we plan to attend the one in January at Quartzsite and possibly the one in Indio the week prior.

Our only exposure to motorhomes has been the Beaver brand (1997 Beaver Monterey and now the Contessa) and we are very impressed with the quality of the coaches.

Beavers I think are the oldest in the business of coaches. They have made some fabulous coaches in the past.

Dangit! ...the title of this post came up as "History of the Beaver" in the side menu...
I rushed to the thread expecting something entirely different...
Beaver Coaches are very nice, though.
