Hitting the road, need suggestions re: address and phone #s

We are packed up, and heading out soon, only to return in a few months to retrieve all our belongings, which we are keeping stored back home.

We are heading to do a 3 month tour of Oregon, and parts of Washington. Wedding in Seattle in July, and the bride has given us permission to use her address as "permanent address" or as forwarding address. Just so our bills, important mail, magazines, etc. can get forwarded along to somewhere where we can pick it all up every couple of weeks, or when she calls and says "I think I have something here you might need".

Cars and trailer are registered through at least November in Texas.

I am thinking about keeping my current phone number, just because all my job applications, resumes, and billing companies have that number.

At least until I find a new permanent residence...

But permanent address...should we do the same, and just have everything forwarded, or use the Seattle address as permanent while traveling?

I am concerned that our driver licenses (CHL), maybe car registrations, definitely insurance, would all be affected by a permanent address change.

Should we keep our current address as "Permanent" until we obtain a new permanent address?

Just for sake of simplicity?

Sorry, I realize that this is kind of a convoluted question. But it is a convoluted problem...
