That is what I was wondering. Is this for gasoline or does it cover diesel also? Diesel already has low sulphur so is diesel included in this new scam?

The proposed EPA rule rule;
The proposed vehicle standards would reduce both tailpipe and evaporative emissions from passenger cars, light-duty trucks, medium-duty passenger vehicles, and some heavy-duty vehicles.
Nothing like being real specific.

Read the links provided. The regs are specific to gasoline.
Diesel is not gasoline, and vice versa.

COWS
We are in Central CA as well, lets not get started on cows,
There are dairies who capture the stuff and run generators from the gas, the city of Fresno does same with sewer gas running locomotive engines to operate generators...many ways of turning waste into $$$
However, if the rest of the country would adopt the CA fuel standards then the cost of fuel for us would go down as the supply would increase from only a few sources to many, and since CA already is doing it the research dollars are not as bad as one may think.
Everyone's fuel may go up, Govt states only $0.01 a gal, industry states $0.10 per gal.
So who knows...

Tell me again the part again where I should pay more for my gasoline so Californians can pay less. Sounds like a plan..... But I wouldn't bank on it.

For those spelling-challenged - or perhaps not familiar with old sayings, it's
"Grin and BEAR it" - NOT "Grin and BARE it"
"Grin and BARE it is what you do just before climbing into bed - "Grin and BEAR it", is what you do when some new unexpected and undesired load is being placed on your back - or billfold...
Now, wise up - and get it WRITE!

Of course the big three are going to tell the Detroit news they are for the new regulations, they got $$$,$$$,$$$ in bailout money. (I know Ford didn't)
How can they not agree to the Govt. regulations. The EPA probably called them and said, "oh, by the way, your are for these new regulations."
Camping trips to the lake may not suffer a whole lot, but cross country trips will.

I like to grin and beer it. Sometimes the other way around.
