I tried one sold under the Ridex name, if I remember correctly. It had zero effect.

The very best thing I found was a product called Fresh Cab.

I have read these electronic devices are good for one thing. . . . Getting your money!

They do not work.

Electronic Pest Repeller

I use these made by Bell and Howell. There was 3 of these in the motor home when we purchased it. They were placed front, rear, and center of the RV. I just left them there not expecting them to do anything. I must say the RV is very bug free inside. I get a few spiders around the tires and engine. But I can honestly say there are very few bugs and I have seen no mice at all inside the RV.

Now that I have said this, I hope I don't go out tomorrow and find the RV inundated with creepy crawlers.

well, not scientific at all, but I have 2 friends that swear by them. Every year when I lay up the big rig I get an investation. This year when I was checking the trapline, I disposed of 2 bodies, added 2 more traps and fresh peanut butter, then installed one of the electric units. It's been 6 weeks and nary a sign of critter activity.
40$ well spent or wasted- we'll see.

A friend of mine swears by Bounce Fabric Sheets you put in a dryer...he's been RVing for many years... He puts them at various places in the basement of his Beaver PT... They have worked for me...I know it sounds crazy...but...

We bought a 4 pak at wall mart and have been pest free, before that the mice would make nests out of the bounce sheets. My brother put one in his home and placed it near my nephews hamster cage. the next day the hamster was dead not suspecting the unit did the deed they bought another hamster and the same thing happened. FYI

Matchayan. You may be on to something there. What brand was the 4 pack you bought at Walmart?

I think an interesting aside, those UV mosquito killers work well on the mosquitos which do not bite people. They mimic a flower and attract the males who live off flowers. The females, who live off blood, don't care about them at all. They are 99.99% ineffective against the mosquitoes people want to get rid of.

I had one from Costco at my home. it kept the rats from staying in the garage, moved them to the attic, used poison in the attic, dead critters, had to hunt the bodies out. But before I had it, I set out poison and had 5 dead ones in 2 days.
I believe it will drive them to another area.
Also, have seen that rabbits and squirrels can perform as the rats and mice do. They will eat the coating right off the wiring.

None of the testing done by folks like Consumer Reports has found them to have any effect on anything (Except your wallet)

I know the Bounce sheets don't work because I have seen a mouse nest made of them when a friend opened his RV up in the spring.
