We had an 03 Excursion. The alt. charged both engine and house. If your having a problem check your batteries both house and starter with a meter with batteries off, isolated, read the voltage to see which if any unit is not reading 12 volts plus. Next step would be to read the specific gravity if your voltage is off?

I have a 2006 Monaco Diplomat. Both batteries are being charged if engine is running, and I'm sure yours works that way also. Check with a meter both batteries while engine is running, they should be close to the same volts, 13.6. Now check with engine off and add a load to your house batteries. House batteries should be 12.2 to 12.5, chassis batteries higher say 12.4 to 12.7 (full charge). If your house battery is not being charged when engine is running, 90% of the time the battery isolator is bad. Check voltage on both side of isolator with engine running, if not around 13.6, isolator is bad. Cheap and easy to replace, or you can take it apart and clean contacts. Good luck!

Hi fulltime2010,
Consider posting this question in the Monaco Owner's forum. The answers you get there should be quite accurate. The forum is at Monaco Owner's Forum - iRV2 Forums This is where the skill and knowledge about your coach can best be found.
