How 'bout One More Rubber Roof Question

I know no petroleum products.. How about washing down with McGuires Gold car wash.. should leave a bit of a wax coating on it.. possibly help protect from nightly moisture and ultimate chalky waterfall by morning?

What say you? Anyone tried something LIKE this?

I use Blue Coral car wash, if that helps any.

The commercial rubber roof treatments are nothing more than a "wax", though the wax is usually a synthetic these days rather than wax.

Other popular choices are floor wax products like Mop & Glo. It probably helps somewhat, at least for a short time.
