Question How do we remove the plastic covers over lights??

Have been using our 1997 Jayco 5th wheel for over a year and have never figured out HOW to remove the plastic covers to change the little bulbs. they seem to be held by white plastic around the clear plastic, but can't even figure out how to get that off.

HOW do you do it??

IF you're referring to the typical ceiling mounted square lights and lenses, gently squeezing on opposite sides of the lens, while gently pulling downward should pull it free - after doing it once, and seeing the method used to retain the lenses, it will all seem very easy...

While not the same cover, this shows the ears that hold the lens in the frame....Just squeeze the sides as Gary described...Hope this helps

Hi everyone. Our RV lights have no fins or ears, and there seems to be now way to squeeze them. Have tried squeezing endlessly. They are hard plastic. Here is a photo of a double one: ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

I'm still stuck. Any ideas how to open these up so I can change the little bulbs??

Looking at the image you referred to when enlarged, it has what seems to be a black pointed area that might the point of removal. It is very small but when enlarged it is visible on the left side as you look at the enlarged version

Is it possible that the plastic frame around the outside prys off somehow. I've never seen those kind of lights, but they have to come off and once you do it you'll probably be surprised at how easy it is. Good luck and let us know how they work when you figure it out. I'm guessing that you don't have an original manual for your RV....

You were on target, but turns out that putting a screwdriver in the area on the left removes the clear plastic and not the white frame around it. Never would have guessed that. Thanx.
