While traveling, I slide our 2 ebikes inside the Wrangler. No worry about rain or theft. If we're just hauling them somewhere for the day I haul both plus a regular bike on this:

https://jet.com/product/Allen-Sports...iABEgL1EvD_BwE

Been doing it for years and on some pretty rough roads. Never had a problem. Never weighed the ebikes but suspect somewhere less than 50 lb each plus I remove the battery and place them inside the Wrangler.

You could buy a extension hitch and have a fabricator make you a sturdy bike rack.

There are ones rated for higher than you need

My 1500watt mid-drive ebikes weigh 45lbs each with batteries and seats removed. I have a Thule T2 rack and it's working out fine. Reduced the hitch/rack rattling with a hitch saver thingy. If you cover your bikes, make sure your taillights are still visible. Ride on! Mike

I have a Swagman X-C2 rack carry 1 ebike and a 7 speed cruiser style bike for 3 years no problem. I see Swagman has a couple of E Bike specific racks out now with 60lb to 64lb per bike rating. They are a platform type rack where the tires sit in " baskets" and center tube clamped to a vertical in the rack frame real secure. The names of the ebike new racks are Escapees ( rv approved) and e-spec

We also have foldable e-bikes. They ride, safe/secure/dry, in the back of our CRV.

I didn't mind washing the road crud off my Target $125 pink cruiser, but these 3-bikes cost too much to have them exposed to the elements riding on a hitch mount...even if covered.

I am not a fan of racks that hold bikes by the frame.

I think this rack is way to wimpy to carry 2-50lb ebikes AND you want a rack that supports the bikes, not one that the bikes hang from. Look at Thule, Kuat, Swagman, One Up. Sorry, but the right rack will cost way more than $149. Mike

This is the one I use;
https://www.1up-usa.com/product-category/bike-racks/

Our bikes weigh about 55 lbs. each. We tow a Toyota truck.

This is the only picture I have of the rack, but I think you can see how it’s mounted.

Some of us are lucky enough to have the rack built right in, and rated for Ebikes, although these Optibike's are less than 50 lbs.

I have a folding ebike and put into the bed of the F150 I tow that also has a cap on the back to keep it out of the rain and secure. My bike weighs 60 lbs with battery attached.
