How do you lube the seals under your slide topper?

I'll bet (or hope) someone has a trick to doing this. The only thing that I can think of is have some sort of applicator on a broom handle.

For my 2 shorter ones, i pulled my out about half way and lifted the awning up enough to reach the middle. Now my main slide is another story, so looking forward to the tips.

Wow. I didn't even know the toppers needed lubricating.

The toppers do not, the seals for the slide-room do. I buy a few of the cheap "johnny mops" sold at janitorial supply stores. I tape one to a broom handle, wet the mop with water, and with help from my trusty step-ladder, use one to wash the seals, then lube the seals with a new mop wetted with seal-lube.
If your slide is longer than 16', a broom handle may be too short.

I use a 1" paint brush tied to my expanding pole I use to wash the mh with. Spray the brush heavily with the lube and wipe. I can reach my longest slide seals with that pole if I attack from both ends of the slide. I just use a dry brush first to sweep off the seals before applying the lube. The biggest problem is angling the pole enough to be able to apply pressure in the middle enough to actually apply the lube to the seal.

Expanding pole with a sock on the end soaked with lubricant.
In my case, I have made a expanding pole with two pieces of PVC.
There is a mark so I can extend it to 13ft.
I use this to confirm height at questionable gas stations when I have no choice and I question the height labeling.

And I use it to lube the seals.

Try to make a right angle adapter out of PVC (love that stuff) for the end to give you leverage.

Campin Cajun,

What kind of spray bottle and what lube do you use? The only thing I can think of would be like a weed sprayer.

Thanks

A regular hand held spray bottle like 409 & that type of stuff comes in. You can flush one out & use it or buy em at most stores. I use 303 Aerospace Protectant. Spray it on & forget about it.

When the slides are in, is spray "303" on top of the slides. Extend slides. Problem solved. 2 years . So far so good. (see sig.)

When my slides are extended to within about a foot of seating, I get on a step ladder inside the unit and reach over the slide to clean and lube the seals. It's a little tight but easier than trying fiddle with it from the outside.
