How early do they start mowing the grass?

Maybe I should ask this when I call ahead from now on?

Most cities and towns have rules and laws that state they cannot start mowing or anything like that until 7am. After 7am it's fair game apparently. Yea we have had them start earlier at various S&B's and campgrounds. But we then just politely tell/ask them "aren't you supposed to not start until 7am?" Most know the law but still try to get in that extra 20 to 30 mins to get a jump on things to do for the day. If it's a campground then we just go to the office when they are open and again politely ask them to not start until at least the law says so at 7am. Have not had anyone get mad yet and yell or anything but you never know ....

I own a mowing business and we head out at 0730 with mowers running at 0800. Especially in this heat we are having. It is brutal out there.

Even with that we had a lady couple years ago at a neighboring property that came out yelling at us "her baby was sleeping". This was about 0845 in the morning.

So future mowings we put that property last on the list for that sub division. Near the noon hour she again came out and was upset by mowers running waking up her baby... she apparently never had kids before.....

They can start as early as they want. It is a sweet sound because it is NOT me doing the work!

That and I'm about deaf so they bother me. However, there is nothing wrong with DW's hearing. It'll probably be OK anytime after the cat wakes her up.

I know of one lady that had everything turned off and everything COMPLETELY quiet in the house and everyone had to whisper when her kids would go down to sleep for a nap or at night. Then she could not figure out why mine would and did sleep thru anything ..... go figure.

My yard crew at home knows not to start before 9:00 AM - and even then they wake me up sometimes. I love being retired.

My attitude too. The only time I ever complained was when the young man ruined my sewer hose with a string trimmer.
