Only one [in person] for us ... met him at a Winnebago rally last year. Yes, seemed to be a very genuine individual. \ken

I have IRV2 stickers front and back and travel 10,000 miles a year, all over the USA AND have never met another member on the road.
I also have a CB with a 200 watt power booster AND have never conversed with another Motor Home either on Ch 13 or 19 even using scan search.
Sure is a pretty sad state of affairs

Between 25 and 30. And journeying on to meet many more.

It is true that most folks I meet on the road have not heard of iRV2. I find that a little odd, but it's a big country / world.

I met a bunch of folks just last month, around 20 or so. All great people! Looking forwards to meeting more. When I camped as a teen, the goal was to meet as many people as possible. I'm returning to that goal because I feel folks that go camping are some of the most down to earth folks out there.

I've lost count, dozens I'd say. But then, I've been around a long time & attended multiple iRV2 rallies (helped host a couple). Best folks out there!

I rarely see other members just by chance at a CG. Yeah there's a lot of us out there & a whole bunch with stickers, but as Steve said, it's a big country.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

None and I usually ask people where ever we go if they are on any of the three RV forums.

One guy said he was on another forum but he didn't go on it very often.

While we have been to one IRV2 rally so far, (and we will be attending at Nashville) most of our IRV2 personal friendships have been cemented outside that experience. A few years ago some of us noticed we lived in the same area and we made plans to get together and continue to do so now some years later. We have good friends in both of our "home" parks (winter - summer) I know are IRV2 members. We have met people on the road that are members but can't say I've seen many IRV2 stickers.

Not long ago, just before we left Florida, a nice lady came up to me and asked "are you JMonroe?" She recognized our rig from one of my posts and knew I was in the park because of the information under my avatar. That turned into a conversation about how she loves spending time on the forums.

We full time and it has been kinda strange. Sometimes we meet several people when we stop. We even have bumped into people that we have chatted with on facebook. They recognize our "Old English Sheepdog" and ask if we are the people that post on facebook or were at such and such State Park or campground. My wife and I pretty much chat with anyone out there. Many of the people are camp hosts as well.

On the other hand, we might stay at a Fl. State Park and no one is interested in chatting. Next park we end up chatting and making friends with other campers.

Over the past 15 months since we started fulltiming, we have made friends with maybe 25 people and keep in touch with maybe 8 or so.

Best of luck and happy RV'ing.
