I found these on PattsGas Ebay Store.

30# "horizontal use" cylinder with built in gauge and opd valve. It measures 23.4" x 19.6"x 12.2" empty weight is 31 lbs, and full weight is 61 lbs.

30 Lb Aluminum propane cylinder usally used for R.V.'s or boaters due to weight, and corrosion reistients. It weighs 18 lbs empty, and 48 lbs full, it measures 12.28 x 28.2 inches.

The weight of the empty cylinder is stamp on the shield around the gas valve, it should have TW XX.X lb most will weigh about 24 lb.

It is known as the "Tare Weight" and [as Sunny says] it is stamped on the collar of every DOT (vertical) LP tank. Steel tanks in that size run around 25 lbs but aluminum is lighter.
