We fulltime & we removed our splendid combo . The space it took up is better served for dirty laundry .
We workamp , in our case most of our jobs include free laundry , or a laundry reimbursement anyway

Another long termed here - two to three months at a time. We try to dry Camp Sunday through Friday morning a lot of times then head to a full hookup park to dump and get out of the way of the weekenders. Gives us plenty of time to do the laundry in our washer and dryer (not combo). I like having control over the system, not having the laundromat set the dryer temp for example. With just the two of us we don’t have a lot of clothes anyway, though we do put on clean clothes every day! We can dry with the AC on, but I bet the microwave would put the circuit over the top. We hardly ever use the microwave so it isn’t an issue. I absolutely love having the washer and dryer. I only lost about 24” of space, and my closet is still plenty big.

How much value do you put into having a washer/dryer onboard?

We have the stacked wash/dryer and don’t use it a lot.
But when we do use it, very glad it’s there.
Had a combo in the last coach and wouldn’t have another one of those.
The dryer took forever.

None at all - we would likely remove it.

Most of our travel was two of us, lots of moving around, 1-2 months out.

About once in four or five days, we were ready to empty talks, fill tanks, do minor maintenance, maybe enjoy a swimming pool.

A natural part of our travel rhythm was my wife being away for a few hours to knit, read and watch clothes tumble. I would tighten some RV part, or strum a guitar. We really enjoyed the time apart.

We travel for the summer and find we love having the combo machine. So convenient, we would buy it again.

Full time and haven’t regularly used a laundromat since college. I bought a house and could afford a laundry in the house. We use a laundromat for very large items or like just mentioned things we don’t want in our house . Sorry I just won’t do it nor will the DW.
The combo requires some changes in the way you use it. Small loads almost daily .. clothes in soap and on. I don’t care how long it takes because we aren’t tied to it. We go about our normal day. Those who refuse to do that and want to do a weeks laundry at a time won’t be happy so I quess it’s off to the laundromat! [emoji44]

Wouldn't be without one, at least a combo unit. Haven't been to a laundromat in 60,000 miles of RVing.

First long trip out, DW decides she can't stand laundromats. Before 2nd trip, redesigned kitchen area, removed stove/oven, upgraded to Induction cooking and Convection microwave, added a splendide combo where oven was. Made DW Happy. We use it even when staying at Daughters and Son-in-laws for extended periods. Seldom boondock. 4 years on and DW loves it. We travel 6 months out of the year.
DW Happy, I'm Happy

Just purchased new to us 2007 Itasca Meridian 34H that included w/d hookup. Right now not needed but if wife like to spend longer time on the road this winter will probably remove closet and install unit. I'm allergic to pet dander and I've seen what some of my fellow RVers throw in the CG washers. Short trips of 10 days or less we just pack up dirty clothes and wash them at home.

Our rig is 34'9" and WD will be located in the commode room.

The are American Hairless Terriers.

I should add, one thing really nice about the Splendide 2100xc combo unit ( maybe other combo units also?) is that you have the option of presetting the dry time so unit dries the clothes right after washing. Load it, set it and leave. Come home to clean clothes.

We have stacked W/D and the DW wouldn't have it any other way. It is so convenient to just wash when you have spare time, rather than having to make time to sit in a laundromat. With the stack units you can be drying a load of clothes while another load is being washed.
It's an option we're not willing to give up.
