How. Much would you pay for covered inside storage with power?
Contemplating building an enclosed building off a commercial road to house our RV and DH's antique cars. Thinking of including an extra enclosed bay as part of the building that would be partitioned off and completely separated from our space (and having 50 amp service), to use as a rental space for an RV. Wondering what fair market rental would be for such a space?
Thanks in advance for your input.

I pay $325.00/ month with 20 amp power (16 x 45) in a Denver, CO suburb. Garage is part of a larger storage area with dump station, water, propane, and security fence with cameras and secure keypad entrance.

It all depends where you live. I live in a more southern small town than Denver and pay $150/month with power and water in a 50' x 20' covered locked building with security.

I expect the best answer you can get for your question is to call local RV storage businesses and see what they charge.
Then price yours accordingly.

Yep, I really think it depends what part of the country. Here in WI, I pay $60/month but just have 15 amp available and I'm sharing the large pole barn with about 15 other RVs and boats. I should add that this is exceptional, even for this area. The next closest price I could find was about $150

I agree. You'll have to see what your area is charging to be competitive. We pay $140.00 + 50 amp metered electric of about $30.00 +/-. Our storage is an amenity in our community. Outside of our community it costs $200.00 mo. They offer a trickle cell charge for batteries for an additional $25.00.

In a pretty large warehouse near BWI Airport, they charge $10/ft.

Here in Sarasota, FL it's $12/ft so for me it was $480/month for indoor - not sure if that included power, couldn't use my lower jaw anymore during the conversation after they told me the price.

Sounds like you might as well be in a RV Park as be in covered parking not using it. Depreciation and parking costs could be over a grand a month.

In the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area, I pay $420 with 50 amp service. They have a RV wash bay, dump station, and propane available. I have a 20x50 private garage with a 15' wide garage door. I have plenty of room to put the slides out and get ready for trips. I have a separate people door. It's all gated with security cameras. Very nice I think.

Wow...my boss and I have been talking about building some covered rv storage at our business. We have a large lot that we don't use and are always looking for income opportunities. Looks like 65 monthly is the going rate in our area for covered, but not enclosed storage. Looks like maybe we need to get in on this emerging market!

In North Orange county California I pay $266 a month for a 37 ft class A. I think it's around $300 for a 40 footer. RV storage in my area is in short supply. I'm really lucky the price hasn't increased in the six years I've been there. I believe electric cost more.
