How often do you 'camp ' at home in your RV?
We figured we'd enjoy our camper at home. So if budget doesnt allow an outing, we put in a movie and the popcorn and pretend we are somewhere else. 
We did this on a 'date night' as a theme. Ate spaghetti and watched, " Letters to Juliet." 
So share your 'camping at home ' ideas.
We also encouraged our kids to this, as a trial run. So they brought the grands over and we all 'camped at home.' Just for 1 night. Also helps you get see what you mite need before you hit the road.

I'd camp in mine every weekend but my jerk neighbors call the cops if my mh Is here for overnight. Have it parked elsewhere but bring it home a day or two early when we are gonna take it out

I do it quite often. Coach is right next to the house, with the awning open I have a nice shaded area. I'll even sleep in it as it's quiet and comfortable.

Suggested that to the DW but the MH is out in the shed with the slides in.

After Hurricane Charlie we were without power for a week. We camped in the MH for that entire week with the generator running 24/7. The neighbors loved the cooling station and never complained about the MH being brought home again.

If we know that a rainy day is ahead. The DW and I will gather some snack food and go to the MH and enjoy the sounds of the rain on the roof. I don't keep my coach near my home (it's about 15 miles away) but we would be in it more if I could have it at home. It's our little retreat.

Ours is a "power's out" refuge as well. Thankfully, it's not pressed into that kind of service often....

Our first MH was decked out with a PlayStation but we could not afford another for the "S & B" so sometimes we would spend the night in the camper just to play games, every so often the neighbors would stop by with some wine, or the grandkids would spend the night and would not sleep in the house.

Tonite we are going to camp and hopefully will hear the 'rain on the roof' what a peaceful sound. Sometimes we watch the deer come up thru the big picture window. So nice.

Huh! My DW won't even consider letting someone else sleep in her fiver. We would prefer they stay in our bed in the house while we stay in the fiver. And we do occasionally stay in it between trips.

Something about our RV as well. It seems more personal that the S&B. We lent the S&B to our son but would never lend him the 5er or the coach.

Not so much in the yard, but we have a beautiful National Park just 3 miles from the house, and 630 miles of shore line on Lake FDR. This summer we took the boat to FT Spokane NP for 5 days (3 miles from S&B) With the Senior Discount it is $5 a day. They have a great boat launch, and nice docks. We moored the boat at the far end of the CG and spent the 5 days dry camping, and fishing. ONLY had to launch and retrieve the boat once!
