Last year was 54 and got our class A. We did the traditional tour of tents then a slide in camper a few TTs and got out of if for a few year. We're back now with our Mountain Aire. Loving the gold girl more each time we get out in her.

the year was 1974. The gas shortage was in full bloom. Found a 1972 Open Road motorhome from California. The owner had walked off and left it and the payments. Contacted the bank and offered a low ball price. The bank called back the next day and accepted my offer. (less than half of what was payoff.) At 33 years old, I was driving a 18 month old upper class motorhome. Kept it for 5 years and fifty thousand miles. Sold it for a 50% profit.

66...we started with a 16' trailer spent one night in it and went to get the replacement microwave that stopped working and found a 2003Coachmen Santara. We traded it for a Coachman Concord...too small no storage. Went on vacation last September and needed a new water filter and my wife said let's go look at those Motorhomes and that's when we found our current one a 32' Coachmen Leprechaun. We love it but I do so miss my leveling system I had in the Santara.

Was 58 and four months from retirement. Bought a 30 foot class C that had extensive water damage bedroom floor, which I found when replacing carpet .
Sold it a year later after 2 great trips to Michigan and Maine.
Looking to buy again, but probably will go TT this time.
Will be much more diligent going over camper before purchase this time!

Squeak, squeak (my joints, not the MH)
Boy, are these posts making me feel old or what?
I am 70, the wife's 69, just bought our first RV last month, a 2017 Thor ACE 30.3. So far, so good. I had been interested for a long time, but during my military career, it just didn't seem practical - leave time was spent going home to visit family and it was always rush, rush, rush to go see both families (usually a long distance away) and get back during a two week leave. For most of it I was on an aircrew and all six crewmembers had to take leave at the same time. We got two 15 day leaves every year (weekend days counted as leave time).
Then when I retired, I went to work for a government contractor, the kids were grown and vacation time was spent visiting them. Now that we are really retired, we want to spend these last years seeing those interesting places we passed at 70 MPH for the last 45 years. God willing, He will leave us here long enough, healthy enough to do some of that.

I was 70. Way too late I think, but had no choice. We were looking after our Parents who lived in their own homes into their 90s. We have spent the last two winters in a wonderful Motorcoach Resort in Florida, and Lord willing, we could get another 5 years without snow.
